Qualified at Glasgow University, Scotland - 1976.

I worked in London, England for 15 years during which time I completed my training in Family Medicine. During my work in London, I developed a project in which I established primary care medical services for homeless people in Central London.

In 1990, I moved with my family to Israel and am a full-time family doctor in a small town, Karmiel, which is in the Western Gallilee.

Member of staff of the Department of Family Medicine, Technion University, Haifa.

Coordinator of continuing medical education (CME) in Haifa.

Examiner in the final board examinations for specialists in Family Medicine.

Member of the committee of the Israel Association of Family Doctors and chairman of the sub-committee on quality in Family Medicine.  At present I am coordinating a research project on quality indicators in diabetic clinics.
