Adrian Rohrbasser graduated from the University of Zürich 1987 and continued his further education in Sweden. After finishing his education as a general practitioner, he worked at a health-care center in the north of Sweden for several years.
He is now the head of a health care center belonging to Switzerland’s largest HMO (SWICA). Besides future general practitioners, he tutors small groups of GPs who work with clinical decision making and evidence based audits as a part of their continuous medical education. Finally, he is the chief executive for managed care of the HMO (SWICA).
As a member of the Swiss Association of Family Medicine, he participates in the core group for Quality and CME as well as in the nationwide project “Q-Monitoring” of the general practitioners.
